You can taste the victory. You heart pounds with excitement as you draw closer to your goal. You can’t believe all of your hard work is FINALLY about to pay off and then it starts happening. You can’t believe it! Not again! Everything is falling apart! WHY! WHY? Every time you get close it all falls apart! You can’t believe it!
The first few times this happens you may get stuck in the poor me pity party. Why do bad things always happen to me (I know…I have been there). But after a while your sadness turns to anger and instead of asking yourself “why is this happening to me” you start asking yourself a much more important question. You start asking yourself “what am I doing to keep attracting this same outcome”? Ahhhh….I know …you’re mad! WHAT! What Lisa Ann…are you nuts! Do you think I would purposely be not allowing myself to have what I so desire to have in my life? Are you crazy?
Well crazy is open for interpretation but I will tell you this, I have watched time and time as everything someone wants goes right out the door in front of their eyes. In fact, it has happened to me! The truth of the matter was they were self-sabotaging…I was self-sabotaging! Come on! Let’s get real! We have ALL done it at some point in our lives. If you can relate to what I have said. If you are sick and tired of not getting what you want. If you are sick and tired of having the carpet pulled out from under you constantly then you need to hear me out! If this is you then there is only one place you need to look and that is in the mirror! You need to start asking yourself the hard questions. Questions like, what am I afraid of, how will getting what I want change my life, am I afraid of losing what I get after I get it and why do I not feel deserving (honestly this is probably the number one reason people do not get what they want). If you are truly ready to get real with yourself then and only then are you truly ready for change!
Can you see how you fear and doubt might be effecting the outcome of things? Can you see how your past bad experiences can be negatively influencing how you think the future outcome will be? If so then you are ready for the next step. So now it is time to stop the pattern. How do you do that? Actually it is pretty simple. First, you have to be aware of what you have been doing. Two, you have to be committed to changing your behavior. Three you have to be willing to work through your fear!
So let’s wrap this up in a nice little package. I know we hate to see what is right in front of us but the truth is there is one common denominator in your life. It is you! That is great news as you are also the only one who can change your life. Now that we have gotten that straight all you need to do is to commit to letting go of the excuses, working through the fear and realizing that you are deserving of having what you want! Simple enough:)
Repeat after me: “I am aware that in the past I have sabotaged myself. I am aware of this behavior, I am committed to changing and I am willing to work through all my fears because I AM deserving of having all I desire in my life”!
Remember, you are too smart to believe that you are powerless, you are too courageous to give up on your dreams and you are too deserving to ever quit! This is YOUR life, these are YOUR choices and this is YOUR moment!!!!!
